About UsThis is a new venture, started because I've enjoyed writing about and photographing high school and college wrestling since 1973, when I was a student at St. Lawrence University. I plan to write about wrestlers of the past and present, coaches, supporters and questions I have about the sport. This could grow into something more.
America could learn a lot from people who wrestle, in my opinion, from courage to toughness (mental and physical), to the ability to handle failure. |
Who We Are |
I live in Cortland, have worked in newspapers and magazines, have written one book about wrestling, and am a professional writer and editor. I am a St. Lawrence and Cornell graduate.

Our History |
I ignored wrestling in high school but came to admire the sport in college, then as a sports writer in Auburn and Syracuse (the old Herald American and Herald-Journal). I covered the sectional and state tournaments from 1978 until 1994, then focused more on college wrestling until 2014.
